David Wise showed he was on of the top superpipe skiers in the World in 2009 by concluding the season with four straight podium results in major competitions including winning gold at the prestigious World Ski Invitational in Whistler, Canada; winning silver at the World Cup Finals in Le Plane, France; and winning a unprecedented 4th Straight US National Championship at Squaw Valley, Ca. Wise tied for 3rd at the World Championships in Japan, where he had the highest run score of the day in the qualifier round. Wise also won the Aspen Open Earlier in the season and was 5th in the US Open.
Wise was the top US competitor on the World Cup tour and ended the season ranked 4th in the World, after competing in only 2/3 of the season in August in New Zealand, where he will trained and compete last November.
